New Year, New COMAXFebruary 26, 2014
Welcome to our new website! Throughout 2013 we were kept very busy and 2014 is proving to continue this momentum.
The website has been redeveloped to be viewed on any device, so whether you are on the go with your mobile or sitting at your desktop the full site will remain accessible to inspire you! We have included pinterest sharing on all our Product pages, as well as adding instagram to our social network. The new COMAX blog will be used to share our thoughts on hot topics from within the industry as well as the design world in general.
One of our most challenging (due to tight timelines) and exciting jobs last year was manufacturing custom furniture to a specified design for Singapore Airlines. COMAX was engaged to produce the final pieces that had been designed to refresh their business and first class lounges at the Sydney International Airport.
The walls were constructed out of 2 layers of ply, and had to be 40 mm think with leather upholstery to the inside and wallpaper to the outside, with the electricals running in the middle. The quilting had to be hand done in our factory, as we were unable to find a commercial quilting company that could do the job.
Lead designer Natalie (of Ong and Ong) needs to be congratulated for her vision and realisation of the new look.
We are extremely proud to have successfully risen to all of the challenges that the Singapore Airlines project presented and on delivering bespoke solutions based on the individual project needs that not only look fantastic, but are also highly functional, comfortable and able to comply with rigorous quality and durability standards that the high-traffic passenger lounges required.
